Gwinnett Stripers Atlanta Sport reviews
Good Game but the Event Could've been handled better
The fact that they chose to break their own rules and allow the parking lot to open hours before normal because of a give-away event was highly disappointing. I think they could've handled that much better.
The parking in general was not exactly handled well with lots of people getting away with taking up multiple parking spots with little to no direction at all. Someone almost backed into me with an attendant literally just standing there watching it happen and not even trying to help.
The game itself was fun and they did a decent job of handling the weather delay. As a baseball fan I may try to go again but I'll avoid any special give-aways as they clearly don't know how to make those fair.
Love the Stripers
Coolray Field is a great venue. It's nice to be so close to the field and be able to be unclose to the players. Friday night fireworks are the BEST!!!
The only negative, and it's a big one, is the food. Not many choices and the ones that are there are way overpriced. A footlong hot dog with some bacon jam...$15?! Costs almost as much as our tickets!!! Same with the vendors...overpriced for mediocre food. We were hoping or better this year.
Yeah, not really what I'm looking for at the ballpark. And the one concession selling regular hotdogs, burgers etc. has mile long lines. We've decided the next time we go to a game there (and we go to many), that we'll eat before we go.
Disappointing
My daughter and I used to live down the street from the stadium and loved going. I took my daughter to the game on 4/2 and was extremely disappointed.
The whole experience was awful. I did not realize when trying to buy tickets online that I would be charged ridiculous amounts of money. I lost over $50 for 2 tickets on the LAWN! I had to purchase the tickets at the stadium which cost me $28. When we got to the stadium I was told that parking is now $10.00 and patrons can only use cards, no cash is accepted. The bottled water was lukewam and cost $5 a piece. I was unable to bring in a purse and therefore was unable to have my Epi pen and inhaler on hand if there was an emergency.
Grand total for this disappointing day was $99.71 for a lackluster visit.
